Your Vietnam North to South 10-Day Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Depart South Africa → Hanoi, Vietnam

• Depart from South Africa on your scheduled international flight to Hanoi. Enjoy onboard meals and inflight entertainment as you travel to Vietnam.

Day 2: Hanoi Arrival – Airport Transfer & Hotel Check-In (No Meals)

• Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure to acclimatise and explore Vietnam’s capital at your own pace.

Day 3: Hanoi → Halong Bay Cruise (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)

• You will embark on either a 3–4 Star Cruise or a 5 Star Cruise, depending on your package selection.

3 & 4 Star cruise programme:

• 07:45 – 08:15 Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and transfer to Halong Bay.
• 11:30 – 12:00 Warm welcome at Tuan Chau International Cruise Port. Board your overnight cruise and begin exploring Halong Bay. Enjoy kayaking, visit Surprising Cave and Titop Island, relax on the sundeck, and join the sunset party.
• 19:00 – 20:00 Dinner on the sundeck (weather permitting). After dinner, enjoy music at the Sky Bar, try your hand at squid fishing, or simply admire the night views of the bay.

5 Star cruise programme:

• 07:45 – 08:15 Pick-up from your hotel for your transfer to Halong Bay.
• 11:30 – 12:00 Board the high-speed tender (±25 minutes) to the main vessel.
• 13:00 Enjoy lunch onboard as the cruise departs toward Lan Ha Bay.
• 15:45 Visit Ba Trai Dao and the surrounding lagoon. Enjoy swimming, kayaking, and exploring this beautiful area.
• 17:30 – 18:30 Return to the cruise for the sunset party.
• 18:00 Join the Vietnamese cooking demonstration with the onboard chef.
• 19:30 Enjoy a premium Vietnamese and seafood dinner.
• 21:00 Evening activities include squid fishing and karaoke.

• 07:45 – 09:00 Explore Luon Cave by kayak and keep an eye out for playful monkeys along the cliffs.
• 09:30 – 10:00 Check-out and enjoy an early lunch.
• 11:00 Arrive at Tuan Chau Marina and return to Hanoi by shuttle (arrival approx 15:00 – 15:30).

5 Star cruise programme:

• 06:15 Start your morning with a Tai Chi session on the sundeck as the sun rises over Lan Ha Bay.
• 07:00 – 07:45 Breakfast onboard.

• 09:30 Check-out.
• 10:30 Enjoy brunch in the restaurant.
• 11:30 Disembark at Tuan Chau Harbour and transfer back to Hanoi (arrival approx 15:00 – 15:30).

• Enjoy a free day to explore the UNESCO-listed Ancient Town of Hoi An. Highlights include Phuoc Kien Pagoda, the 400-year-old bright-red Japanese Covered Bridge, and beautifully preserved merchant houses.

Day 9: Full-Day Mekong Delta Excursion (Breakfast / Lunch)

07:30 – 07:50

• Depart for My Tho to visit the historic Vinh Trang Pagoda. Cruise along the Mekong River, visit Unicorn Island, explore orchards, listen to traditional folk music, and visit a honey-bee farm and coconut candy workshop.
• Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, followed by cycling through Tan Thach village to meet local residents and experience rural life.
• Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon.

Day 10: Half-Day Cu Chi Tunnels Tour (Breakfast)

07:30 – 07:50

• Depart for the Cu Chi Tunnels, located 45 km from Ho Chi Minh City. Explore the vast 220 km underground network used during the Vietnam War. Learn about the region’s turbulent history while viewing remnants of the former battleground.
• Return to Ho Chi Minh City after the tour.

Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City – Departure (Breakfast)

• After check-out at 12:00, enjoy free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing. Later, transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your flight back to South Africa.

• Arrive home with wonderful memories of your Vietnam journey.
