Also known as fertigation tanks or “Varkies”, these tanks allow liquid fertilizer to mix with irrigation water under pressure and deliver nutrients directly to the root zone for improved crop performance and higher yields.

How it works:

The fertilizer tank is installed before the filter bank on the irrigation mainline. Water pressure forces fertilizer from the tank into the irrigation system, delivering nutrients evenly across the field according to the fertilizer manufacturer’s recommended ratios.

Choosing the right size

Select your tank size based on your fertilizer application rate.

For example, if 25 litres of fertilizer is required per hectare, a 60L tank is sufficient once mixed with water. Larger tanks are suitable for increased field sizes or higher application volumes.
